Analyzing Facebook Post: Home Invasion and Sleep

Here, we have a police officer's wife Facebook posting of a home invasion.

As you consider the language, note that a "home" is where one sleeps.  Linguistically, the location of sleep is always important.  This is seen in two ways:

The first is the use of "home" versus "house" when it comes to the location of both sleeping and eating; two requirements to sustain life.

The second is when a subject specifies the location of sleep in a statement.  This should be "unnecessary" due to the expectation that one sleeps in one's own bed, in one's own bedroom.  When the specific location of where one slept is in a statement, it must be flagged.

For example, a home invasion is just that, an "invasion" which should produce "invasive" elements in language.  It is very personal and very intrusive.  It is where you sleep, you eat, and where your privacy is maintained.  Home invasions have a tremendous psychological impact upon us.

As a separate issue in statement analysis , if one gives the specific location of where one slept, it is a signal of missing information regarding what displaced the person from their usual location of sleep. This is often seen in domestic homicide cases as well as domestic violence cases.

"Last night, I was asleep on the couch when..."  This location is not expected and it is indicative of something that caused the subject to sleep somewhere besides his own bed.  There is a 'story' here that must be discovered.

Even men who go to the couch due to back pain (men over 40 sometimes report this) do not feel the need to mention the location of their sleep.  They simply 'skip' it because, as they edit their account, it is not relevant.

When a person mentions the specific location of where he slept, there is a reason for its inclusion and a reason for where he slept.  We look for the answer in the statement itself, and if not there, in the subsequent interview.

Overall, a "home" is where one sleeps, which is necessary for life, and where one "eats", which is also necessary for life.

This is why home invasions can be trauma producing in language.

Maria Daly is a police officer's wife.  She now faces charges of false reporting.  She wrote:

We woke up to not only our house being robbed while we were sleeping but to see this hatred for no reasonIf you would have asked me yesterday about this blue lives and black lives matter issue my response would have been very positive. Today on the other hand I have so much anger and hate that I don’t like myself.”

There are many signals of deception in her post.

a.  Follow her pronouns.  A home invasion will produce very personal language and the pronoun "I" is expected.  She begins her post with the need to "not be alone" with her statement.  This is a very strong signal that something is amiss.  By itself, it is not enough to conclude deception, but something posted this so soon after a home invasion should begin with the pronoun "I"

b.  Note the need to 'share' (guilt) with "we" were sleeping after we awoke.  Generally, one wakes up a bit differently than the other and this is expected in language from "I work up" to "my husband and I woke up..." because it is often at different times, even if only momentarily.

c.  Note "not only" begins in the negative;

d.  Note "house" and not "home" as "home" is the safety place.  This would be something consistent with a home invasion but the context is introduced and surrounded by the activity of sleeping.  We "sleep" in our homes.  "Home" is where safety, sleep and food sustain life.  That she began with "wake" and followed "our house" with "sleep", it is not expected.

e.  "our house" continues the sharing theme in something frightening, especially from a female subject.  In context of this statement the need to not be alone is already evidenced in the statement.  Other times it is indicative of a possible divorce, or the inclusion of others living in the home, including relatives or renters.

f.  Motive for Writing:   note the inclusion of the reason:  "for no reason" attempts conceals the motive. "for no reason" would be false:  it would be for "BLM terroristic" reasons, but she is telling us something about herself:  this is not for BLM reasons."  She has come very close to a "Statement Analysis Confession"

g.  note the important (and strong) change to "me" from "we" as a change of emotion :  This means the analyst should take notice of that which is going to now come from "me" as more important than what "we" produced.

What does she tell us?

She introduces "me" because she is now going to reveal herself:

1.  She has anger

2.  She has hate

3.  She has self loathing

Analysis Conclusion:  Deception Indicated as the author of the Facebook post reveals herself as the author of the vandalism and false reporting of robbery.

This post is not about a home invasion, but it is about her and how close she has come to a confession.

She has shown her emotions and her self loathing reveals knowledge that what she has done is wrong and self destructive.

By negating the motive as "BLM" racism, she tells us that there is another "reason" or motive, outside of "BLM."

Please note that police now suspect that financial motive is behind the criminal reporting.

"Fake Hate" crime trend continues to increase dramatically as "Victim Status Mentality" continues to gain popularity in our culture.

Financial motive as in suing the police dept or city?

OT-ish

Peter.

Have you looked at the Toronto University professor, Jordan Peterson and his fight for free speech, in law and on campus?

I find it interesting (and related to statement analysis) that the so-called Social Justice Warrior fanatics are attempting to change our language, particularly by prioritizing their attack on the pronouns we use. Could it be an attempt, perhaps subconsciously, to obfuscate their deception?

You can find out more by searching "Jordan Peterson", but this recent debate is quite telling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kasiov0ytEc

When I was an older teenager at my mother's house, we had a night-burglary, which US calls a home invasion, and which sounds rather more scary, yet it is more accurate to how it feels. Fortunately, the first any of us knew of it was in the morning when my sibling went downstairs and found the front door wide open, and items missing. The shock (to me) was that burglars had been in the house unheard, along with signs that they had been there for some time - long enough to have smoked some cigarettes and to have stubbed them out onto the carpet, and to have eaten some cakes from the fridge, specifically almond slices, which I had made the day before. They stole some electrical equipment, including a VCR - in those days they were still a novelty item, and my cigarettes and lighter, which freaked me out further, as I couldn't even have a cigarette to calm myself down. It felt personal, not only because they had spent time in the house but because they ate the cakes which I had made, smoked and stubbed out my cigarettes on the carpet, and then also made off with the rest of the pack and my lighter, which had been a good one, a gift. It still bugs me that they did those things, and that they left the front door open, rather than just take the electrical items.

A forensic officer came and dusted for fingerprints, and said that at least two, possibly three, burglars had entered through a window at the back of the house. My mother had new locking windows and sturdier doors a few months later, and the sense of security was somewhat restored.

What has remained with me is the awareness of the extreme vulnerability of people as they sleep. Also, relief, thankfulness that they were only burglars, and that they did not do us any physical harm. Although it was a very long time ago, and in some ways seems relatively minor by now, it probably still contributes to my preference for not sleeping. Everyone is different, but I would say fear and relief come easier than hatred - I think you can't hate someone you don't know, - you can hate what they have done, and the effect it has or has had on you, and on your family. What dominates your thought, in my experience, is how it makes you feel - thankful and relieved no-one was harmed; in a sense violated, vulnerable, fearful in case something similar or worse happens.

The Facebook post - she is not talking about anything which happened - there are not any home invaders in her language, and that she claims it happened while they slept would not lessen the awareness of invaders having been present in her home, if they had been - what she speaks of is an 'issue'. She is like Charlie Rogers, sort of. It has to be fake hate, I think, to implicate BLM, when there was no home invasion by BLM supporters, or anyone.

Well. It is odd, preferring not to sleep. i love to sleep, I also prefer not to.

So - did she, or did she not? There is a story about this in the Daily Mail today - this is the blog post not linked in the article:

I think she did not deny it. Her professor is 'they' and "they' has probably forgotten all about it, she says.

Would it be too bold a judgement to find it possible that she might have done a bit of cut and pasting at one time or another?

I thought this a blatantly biased and unjust opinion as to why some people view BLM with disdain (it also seems to assume the support of all black people by saying only that white people have shown disdain). I think a more likely assumption was made in regard to motive of the police officer's wife and the non home invasion.

'Black Lives Matter (BLM) has been doing a great job in the fight against Black injustice in America. However, some white people have publicly shown their disdain towards the group, as they want the social injustice and inequality to continue. In order to harm the reputation of the group of Black activists, a Massachusetts police officer’s wife staged a home invasion and spray-painted the letters BLM on her own home to blame Black Lives Matter for the transgression.'

I think the proliferation of vacuous reality programming (influence) combined with enabling social media platforms (means) is largely responsible for this crime trend.

I read this on the weekend. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/davidclarke/2016/10/professor-writes-letter-to-cal-state-after-they-objected-to-all-lives-matter-speech-and-its-spot-on/

Part 1

Professor writes letter to Cal State after they objected to “All Lives Matter” speech – and it’s spot on

Dr. Mike Adams, a professor at University of North Carolina Wilmington, was invited to speak at California State University – Bakersfield, but the Black Student Union wasn’t happy with the title of his speech.
They believed “All Lives Matter” might offend the #BlackLivesMatter crowd.
Apparently, Dr. Adams didn’t care much for their attempt to restrain his speech. Here’s his open letter to the CSU-Bakersfield Black Student Union… and it deserves to go viral.

Dear California State University – Bakersfield Black Student Union:
Recently, I had the opportunity to speak at your beautiful campus, which is located in the southern portion of the San Joachim Valley. As a fan of Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, I was glad to finally visit the town responsible for producing some great country legends as well as that unmistakable Bakersfield country sound. I am thankful that Dwight Yoakam turned me on to that style of music a couple of decades ago. But that’s not why I am writing to you today.
While I was impressed overall with the hospitality of the Bakersfield residents, I was somewhat concerned when I heard of your objections to the title of my speech about abortion. I chose the title “All Lives Matter: Abortion and the Case for Human Equality” for a reason. I believe that philosophical arguments for abortion actually undermine human equality. Your assessment of the propriety of the title of my speech should have been made only after hearing what I had to say. But none of you were present for the speech.
It has also come to my attention that you submitted four recommendations for how my title could be reworded in order to avoid offending Black Lives Matter (BLM). I never imagined that after living in this country for over half a century kids less than half my age would be choosing my words for me. In the process of choosing my own words, I never considered the prospect of offending BLM. Having seen them assault speakers on the basis of race and take to the streets chanting “Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon” I could not care less whether I offend them. To be frank, they come across as uneducated racists with little concern for the feelings of others. In fact, many of them appear to be sociopaths.
However, since you took the time to provide me with some recommendations I thought I would return the favor. Please take the time to read the following recommendations, which I am giving to you to pass on to BLM. These are my modest proposals for how BLM can rename its organization in order to be less offensive to thinking Americans like myself.
1. Slack Lives Matter. BLM could not exist as an organization without the help of uneducated social justice warriors (SJWs). These people are so slack that they never check a fact. They go through life not realizing that blacks commit close to half of the violence in America but make up only one-quarter of the victims of police shootings. Nor do they realize that blacks are responsible for a whopping 42% of the shootings of police officers. If you are so slack that you don’t check facts you will end up wasting your life protesting things you don’t understand. Living a slack life does matter.

Part 2

2. Shacked Lives Matter. Illegitimacy rates have skyrocketed in recent decades. And this matters more than anything. It matters if a man gets a woman pregnant and decides to shack up with her for a little while and move on – as opposed to marrying her and actually raising the child. If the child is male, the consequences of the father’s absence are particularly severe. Put simply, there is a clear and inverse relationship between time spent interacting with dad and time spent interacting with the police. Presently, there is only one racial group in America for which fatherlessness is the rule rather than the exception. To be specific, the black community is now experiencing a whopping 72% illegitimacy rate. This simply must be dealt with now and without relying on the government. In fact, government cannot be part of the solution because it is the root of the problem.
3. Black Lies Matter. It is not just the racism that undermines the credibility of BLM. It is also the lies. These lies also affect those who are not on board with BLM. In other words, there has been collateral damage. When propaganda gets out and police are afraid of going into black communities, who do you think suffers? It is not white people. It is black people. The lies drive out the police. The absence of police emboldens the black criminal who is now being supervised by no one. Dad is not around. The cops are not around. Now he has a free hand to commit crime. Unsurprisingly, his victims are almost always other blacks.
4. Black Dreams Shattered. There have been around 5000 black people lynched at the hands of the KKK. That is the grand total throughout American history. In contrast, in this year alone there will be an average of over 7000 black babies aborted per week in America. It is high time that black America identified the real enemy. Hint: It rhymes with Banned Parenthood.
In sum, apologizing to and for BLM will never solve the problems of black Americans. In fact, nothing will get better until that racist organization pulls its head out of its collective ass and starts addressing real problems within its own community. My words my sound harsh but I have little patience for hypocritical racists. Nor do I have patience for those who defend racists.
Note that in my opening I did not address you by your preferred name “African American Student Union.” This is not Africa and you are not Africans. This is America and you need to act like Americans. You should know that Americans don’t tell other Americans what words to use in order to keep from offending people. You choose your words and I will choose mine.
If you don’t like the words I choose then do the right thing and respond with better speech, not with censorship. Free speech is the ultimate pro-choice position. And I am always in favor of choice as long as it doesn’t harm an innocent human being.
Sincerely,
Mike S. Adams

Hey Jude, that's so scary!! One time a little neighbor boy (7 yrs old) came into our house when we were away (doors unlocked) and he stole a letter opener (looks like a knife) and dropped it on the patio. When we came home, our back door was standing open and we found the letter opener on the floor of the patio. His parents apologized and told us it was him. Much different from your experience.

How much deception can be found in this?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro's new director of schools insists he hasn't billed taxpayers for work on his house.

But internal emails, obtained by NewsChannel 5 Investigates, show that was certainly discussed.

For weeks, our investigative team has been asking about rumors of Metro Schools employees doing work around the boss's house.

In an exclusive interview, he insisted that it's all a big misunderstanding.

"I hold myself to the highest level of integrity and I would never want the public to think that I had someone doing anything inappropriate," Joseph told NewsChannel 5 Investigates.

The new schools director said he did pay one district maintenance worker to paint around his Bellevue house on his own time.

And he said another worker volunteered to come there to help him mount a television.

An email from Joseph's assistant shows that staff was told the work would be "on the clock" -- meaning you would pay for it.

"When I saw that, that's when I sent an email and said please let me clarify because she made a mistake. That was never the intent."

NewsChannel 5 Investigates asked, "So where did she get the idea that he would be on the clock. Did that come from you?"

"No," Joseph answered, "and that's why I corrected it in an email."

Joseph said that he then sent an email to explain that the employee would simply "adjust his start time," then work a full day.

"After sending that, I thought about it and said you know what, it's probably not worth the headache. So I actually didn't have him do that initial work," he insisted.

"I wound up just going on YouTube and figuring out how to just put the thing up myself on that one. So the person did not come."

School communications staff did provide documentation that the employee had taken vacation time when he had volunteered to work on the boss's house.

Joseph said he doesn't know why the worker did that.

Meanwhile, NewsChannel 5 Investigateshas been taking a look at other ways the new schools director has been using your money.

You can see what we discovered -- and hear Dr. Joseph's explanation -- Monday on NewsChannel 5 at 10.

Anon - that sounds like one of my boys - except he went through a pet-flap in the door of our neighbours' house while they were on holiday to retrieve a confiscated ball. I was mortified. I like that he is an adult now.

OT - missing Texas woman.

Peter

I am very suspicious about the father of this missing woman. His statements seem bizarre to me. If you have time, would you please analyze?

"She's a vibrant person, immediately lovable," her father Glenn Verk said. "It's like somebody you swear you've met before. She loves people and connects with people. Yet she's got a lot of sass but you know people don't mind because it's all in fun. She has fun all the time."

"Well like most parents, no one is good enough for your son or daughter," Glenn said. "So it just kind of reverberated that feeling."

"It's been an emotional roller coaster because you have this outpouring of love and hope. You have all these fears that you deal with. It's been an interesting collection of emotions for us,” explained Zuzu’s father, Glen Verk.
